Hello world!
I would like to introduce myself: I’m Rick, Kenna Security’s new API Evangelist. Prior to Kenna, I held positions at Ionic Security, Tintri, and NetApp in similar roles as Developer Advocate, and Developer Evangelist. Before that, I started my career as a software developer, elbow-deep in code. If you’re really curious, check out my LinkedIn profile.
One aspect of my mission at Kenna is to support the developers who use Kenna Security’s REST APIs. In that vein, I will be writing a series of technical blogs on use cases that use these APIs. These blogs will present working code samples that will be available in GitHub. I firmly believe in having working code examples, rather than just small code snippets. With these code samples, I hope that developers will use them as the basis for their own code simplifying the process of using Kenna APIs.
Another aspect of my mission is to improve Kenna’s APIs. Over time the APIs will evolve to become more consistent, and easier to use. Please let me know if you have some improvements in mind.
The final aspect of my mission, and in my opinion one of the most important, is to be responsive to Kenna Security API developers. To this effect, you can find me on Kenna Defenders answering API questions, and listening for suggestions on how to make the APIs more productive and easier to use. Come meet me at Kenna Defenders or on Twitter @rick_ehrhart. I look forward to interacting with you.
