In 2021, Cisco acquired Kenna Security to advance Cisco’s commitment to radically simplify, democratize and automate security operations, and help customers improve their security posture. Since then, we’ve been hard at work integrating Kenna’s risk-based prioritization technology into the broader Cisco Security ecosystem, building upon one of the most comprehensive security portfolios in the industry.
This calculated planning and cumulative effort has culminated in some very exciting news: Kenna.VM will be featured as part of the Cisco portfolio under a new name.
Introducing: Cisco Vulnerability Management
Effective today, Kenna.VM is now Cisco Vulnerability Management. This new name reflects our growth and evolution as part of the Cisco Security portfolio, providing a more unified, comprehensive experience for customers, while still delivering a revolutionary risk-based vulnerability management (RBVM) solution.

What impact will this have?
As part of this exciting change, we’ve launched a new webpage to house Cisco Vulnerability Management information and resources, available here: cisco.com/go/vulnerability-management.
Beginning May 4, Kennasecurity.com will start redirecting to the new Cisco Vulnerability Management webpage.
Please note that Kenna.VI+ and Kenna.AppSec remain unchanged.
What does this change mean for existing Kenna customers?
Rest assured that that your trusted risk-based vulnerability management solution will reliably continue to deliver value and support to your teams. The new product name will not impact your customer experience. You may continue to see the Kenna name in the platform UI and on some collateral as we work through updates.
For product help documentation, customer support, and API docs, customers should continue visiting help.kennasecurity.com. This page will remain active until further notice.
The power of Cisco Vulnerability Managment
In a recent Total Economic Impact (TEI) study conducted by Forrester, Cisco Vulnerability Management is reported to deliver a 125% return on investment (ROI), in addition to helping organizations reduce the risk of a breach by 20%.
“The benefit is not just about reducing [vulnerability] volume, it’s about shifting attention to what really needs to be focused on,” explained a global head of cyber vulnerability management in the financial services industry. “The business also understands the criticality and is pushing those remediations. [Cisco Vulnerability Management] helped us improve maturity, reduce risk, and help focus on what’s important.”
